About us
Hi, my name is Woody, a Greerton born and raised Tauranga lad with decades of small engine knowledge and experience under my belt.
My first job was at Chadwick Road Mowers and Cycle’s at the age of 15. Six months later I started my apprenticeship, but unfortunately the business was sold 2 years later and I had to move on.
After a few years in other industries, I moved back to small machinery and finished my apprenticeship with Naismith and Jones. Managing the Bureta branch, I later purchased the business and renamed it Woody’s Mowers & Cycles.
With inevitable life changes, I moved to Auckland to further my horizons until 2014 when I moved back to Tauranga, becoming Workshop Foreman at Splash Direct.
While on holiday I decided it was time to start something of my own, so it was back to what I knew best, and in 2016 SES (Small Engine Services) was born. 3 days a week soon become 5, and 7 years on we're going strong and still growing.
